Reporting to the Revenue Controller as Finance Business Partner – Commercial you will be responsible for providing analysis and insight to support optimized decision making to our commercial leadership team in LGC Standards. This is a ‘hands on’ role in a large, international, multi-functional division of a market leading life sciences group. This role requires control-based accounting skills with emphasis on business partnering to commercially focused Divisional Head of Finance and our commercial leaders (Sales & Marketing) in the Standards Leadership Team (SLT). There will also be a need to deputize for the Revenue Controller in meetings with Senior Management, so demands strong influencing skills & the gravitas to develop relationships with key decision-makers in the organization. Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end revenue reporting for the Monthly Business Review (MBR).Conduct detailed P&L reviews of commercial operating expenses across Global Marketing, Americas, China, and the rest of APAC.Drive enhanced understanding of the global order book by performing monthly Order Book Walks.Translate order book positions into actionable insights to support accurate revenue realization.Evaluate the commercial sales incentive structure and contribute to the design of commission plans.Support the setting of growth-oriented targets aligned with revenue budget objectives.Own the delivery of financial MI across various timeframes (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually).Ensure timely and accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making.Collaborate closely with the commercial leadership team to provide value-added financial analysis and strategic challenge.Support informed decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations.Lead the consolidation and delivery of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling monthly forecasts.Implement and maintain best practice processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.Provide financial support for ad hoc analysis and project-based initiatives as required.Qualifications5+ years’ experience supporting commercial functions in a complex international manufacturing environment.MBA or CPA/CMA preferred.Advanced Excel Skills a necessity.Experience with Tableau (Creator license i.e. Desktop) preferred but not required.Behaviors & Competencies RequiredAppetite for some international travel and fast paced commercial culture.Ability to cope in a demanding, high pressure (but very rewarding) environment.Highly motivated ‘self-starter’ individual with a hands-on approachProblem Solver, Decision Maker, InfluencerExcellent verbal and communication skills and attention to detailAbility to build and maintain solid relationships internally and externallyAppetite to progress their careers and others (potential to develop in role)Willingness to take initiativeWork arrangementHybrid work environment (50% office based)Additional InformationABOUT LGC:LGC is a leading, global life science tools company, providing mission-critical components and solutions into high-growth application areas across the human healthcare and applied market segments.
