You excel under pressure, staying cool and calm even in the midst of chaos. How You’ll Make an Impact Report to Vice President, Underwriting, Rating and Product. Develop and implement underwriting strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. Exhibit sound knowledge of AMA Insurance products, guidelines and policy wordings. Drive initiatives to optimize risk selection and enhance pricing accuracy to achieve desired profitability targets. Oversee the process and delivery model associated with underwriting operations, ensuring adherence to established underwriting guidelines. Monitor the performance of the personal lines portfolio, identifying opportunities for expansion or modification. Implement solutions to address underperforming segments and drive portfolio profitability. Leverage market research and customer feedback to identify emerging trends and customer needs. Lead product development to enhance existing offerings and develop new personal lines products. Measure the effectiveness of underwriting processes and portfolio performance. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance metrics to senior management. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and distribution teams to ensure alignment of underwriting strategies with overall business objectives. What You Bring to the Table A post-secondary degree or diploma in business or a related field is preferred. You’re no newbie with at least 10 years experience in personal and commercial lines underwriting. You hold a CIP or FCIP designation. You have demonstrated leadership ability by motivating and influencing others towards the achievement of common goals and objectives.
