The Education Advisor role is responsible for making connections with those community providers who currently provide driver safety education learning content, through community-based programmes, discover how the various resources on offer have been created and delivered, and support them to deliver successful programmes that enabled confident, competent and safe outcomes to individuals wanting or needing a licence. As part of the role, you’ll also help deliver Budget 22 outcomes by working with community driver testing officers to improve access to licensing services and support safer, more connected communities. You will find out more about the role here – position description We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $91,382 - $111,622 commensurate to skills and experience. This role can be based out of our Hamilton, Tauranga, Auckland or Whang?rei Offices. Please note there will be travel involved. Ko koe t?nei | About you This role will be based working within the community so you will need a strong understanding of Te Ao M?ori tikanga and when it is being engaged. Along with this, we will look to you to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Demonstrated experience in co-developing learning content Proven background in community programmes, with a strong preference for experience in community driver licensing initiatives. An effective and empathetic communicator, skilled in facilitation and adept at engaging with diverse communities to foster shared understanding and consensus Experience co-designing Continuous Improvement principles or Best Practice frameworks in collaboration with communities, ensuring solutions are created by community, for community A sound understanding of the Driver Testing Officer Manual (DTOM) is preferred but not required Skilled in providing solutions-focused advice, balancing competing priorities, and exercising sound judgment in complex or uncertain environments. Waeture - Regulatory The purpose of this group is to ensure the land transport system is safe and to: Provide oversight of the effectiveness of regulatory interventions on outcomes. Inform relevant and responsive regulation by regular monitoring and review. Ensure effective compliance monitoring and management processes of regulated parties to enable system access for people, devices, and networks, by risk targeted and cost-effective regulatory management of the land transport system. Team Purpose Our purpose is to ensure we place competent drivers on New Zealand roads. We do this through assessing the safety and the fitness and propriety of those providing driver licensing, Classes 1 and driver licence endorsements. We educate, engage, and monitor users on the correct use of the system, and of their responsibility for compliance. We also provide a range of driver licensing services and products that assist users to maintain or upgrade their licences, through to assisting a user to improve their driver education, awareness, and skill uptake.
