The Crown Is Yours As a Mobile Software Engineering Manager on our Platform Team you will be leading a team of mobile engineers, iOS and Android, to help build features that will be used across the vast application portfolio of DraftKings. You’ll work cross-functionally with disciplinary teams to develop highly visible features in our application and take ownership of SDK development and all the processes surrounding it. What you’ll do as a Software Engineering Manager You will lead teams of mobile engineers who support core product areas and critical initiatives. Establish strong lines of communication with a large and committed set of stakeholders across our global team. Mentor and develop your team members through consistent career management conversations and regular feedback. Drive technical discovery through constant collaboration with your team of engineers. Guide the design of your team's software alongside your team members to enable the systems to continue to evolve with business goals. Drive high software quality by advocating for the correct level of investment in systems. Partner with technical leads to help drive implementation and innovation across core initiatives. Participate in the interview and selection process for future hires on the team. What you'll bring At least 5 years experience working in a software environment at a large scale, ideally managing a small team of engineers. Experience working in a native mobile stack (Swift/Obj-C, Java/Kotlin). Knowledge of mobile application development, Agile development, SDLC, and mobile app release processes. Experience managing mobile engineers required. Ability to grow other engineers through code reviews, design reviews and over-the-shoulder debugging.
