Our challenge We are looking for experienced L2 Application Support Engineers (5+ years) to join our team supporting 130+ applications. Candidate will be aligned to a different application set, working closely with team. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Vancouver, BC is CAD $90k – CAD $100k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Act as a L2 support for assigned applications, resolving complex production issues efficiently. Investigate and troubleshoot incidents using monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk. Collaborate with business users and internal teams to understand issues, gather requirements, and communicate resolutions effectively. Monitor application health and performance proactively, utilizing tools like Dynatrace, Helios, and CPE. Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues and improve system stability. Support and troubleshoot cloud environments, primarily Azure, to ensure smooth application operations. Assist with incident management, including prioritization, escalation, and documentation. Take ownership of issues from detection to resolution, following SRE principles to ensure high reliability. Support L1 team members’ activities and document support procedures, best practices, and solutions. Participate in on-call rotations and support activities outside regular hours if needed. Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team. Requirements: Strong technical troubleshooting and L2 production support experience. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with business users. A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong SRE principles. Willingness to support across L2 (and some L1) responsibilities. Dynatrace – Application performance monitoring. Splunk – Log analysis and incident investigation. Helios – Job monitoring/ scheduling. CPE – Platform alerting and event correlation. Azure – Cloud infrastructure and environment troubleshooting. Salesforce (nice to have) – Business platform knowledge for select applications. Preferred, but not required: Knowledge of Salesforce or other business platforms. Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash). Familiarity with other cloud providers like AWS or GCP. Database management and query skills. Security and compliance awareness.
