About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on Strategic Accounts to own the outbound motion and crack into high-potential enterprise and mid-market eCommerce brands. You’ll identify, engage, and book meetings with strategic prospects, test and refine outbound strategies, and help shape what world-class outbound at Portless looks like.
This is a high-impact role with a clear path to Account Executive—we expect this person to be AE-ready within 12 months.
What You'll Do
Own the full outbound process—from research and strategy to messaging and execution—for strategic accounts
Use a mix of email, phone, LinkedIn, and creative channels to break through and earn attention
Partner closely with the VP of Strategic Accounts and AE team to define ideal customer profiles, craft messaging, and build targeted campaigns
Test, iterate, and optimize outreach strategies based on results and feedback
Maintain organized notes and outreach in CRM and provide feedback loops to improve team performance
Hit (and help shape) pipeline and meeting goals to contribute directly to company growth
What We're Looking For
1+ year of outbound BDR/SDR experience, ideally in SaaS, logistics, or a tech-enabled service
A creative mindset—you know how to think beyond the standard playbook to get responses
Grit, ambition, and a growth mindset—you’re hungry to learn and want to become an AE
Comfortable reaching out cold to VP and C-level leaders and navigating complex orgs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organized, self-motivated, and driven by results
Experience with tools like Salesloft, Salesforce/Hubspot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus
