Reporting to the Technical Manager, Construction, within the Industrial Business Unit, the Junior Technical Representative – Roofing will provide technical support & warranty review in the field for roofing installations of Goliath roofing systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for customer-facing technical support of commercial roofing systems, including maintaining close ties to ongoing project needs, issues and progress, as well as working closely with the sales team on developing and supporting sales opportunities.
· Act as a technical resource with all project stakeholders including installers, consultants, building owners, architects and general contractors.
· Conduct final inspections on roofing installations in accordance with warranty requirements.
· Support sales personnel when not providing technical support in the field.
· Work with product development on application testing.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education:
Technical Degree or Diploma in a relative field (Engineering, Science), is preferred.
Completion of a Roofing Apprenticeship program is an asset but not required.
Experience:
Three+ years of experience in the low-slope roofing industry with equivalent knowledge of low-slope roofing applications.
Experience working directly with customers, focused on maintaining lasting business relationships.
Skills & Abilities:
Valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle.
Successfully manage conflict as it relates to sensitive, at times emotional, customers.

Usually work in an office, plant and lab environment, but the mission of the organization and the focus of the position will often take them to non-standard workplaces such as customer sites, trade shows and other production facilities.
Regular exposure to sensitive, emotional customers regarding delivery and/or quality issues which can potentially lead to unpleasant situations.
Standard 40-hour work week, but additionally will often work evening, weekends, and non-standard hours to accommodate activities without receiving additional compensation.
Prolonged absences from work due to Domestic (NA) travel from 75 to 100 days per annum. Must possess a valid passport and can freely cross international borders.
Ability to carry 50lbs of material, climb ladders, and comfortable with working at heights in outdoor environments.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
