The Beedie Graduate Programs team is a close-knit high-performing team that manages the graduate programs for the Beedie School of Business. This includes the recruitment, admissions, program operations, and student services for nine programs, currently encompassing 750+ students (MBA programs (in person and online), GDBA, MSc Finance). As a collaborative and supportive team, we work hard in an exciting and fast-changing industry, with a common passion for supporting the learning journey for students and creating the best experience possible to support their education.
About the Role
The Learning Technology Specialist collaborates with instructors and external consultants to manage, develop, modify, and maintain specialized learning technologies for the Online MBA program and other designated programs within the Beedie School of Business. The role combines technical expertise with project management skills to ensure timely, effective course launches and tool implementations that enhance teaching and learning outcomes. The role supports the implementation of technology-enabled course delivery process for the Online MBA program as well as other designated programs. The role provides technical consultative support, instruction, and training to instructors on the delivery and enhancement of student learning using specialized online learning management systems, and on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices. This position enables educational technology tools to support instructors to enhance and develop engaging, interactive and effective delivery of online courses.

They will be responsive, organized, and committed to supporting program needs with a strong background in project management and communication. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Education, Business, or a related discipline and three years of related experience in areas such as instructional design, and support on specialized Learning Management Systems (LMS), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Technical experience in learning management systems
Knowledgeable of educational technology tools
Project Management skills
Good communication skills: verbal and written
