We are looking for a Senior Ford Specialist. Reporting to the Disability Care Manager at Ford, the Senior Ford Specialist is responsible for supporting non-occupational claims processing, labour relations activities, and employee benefits administration. This role is aligned to our Oakville Ford plant and the successful candidate will be in the office five days per week.
What you will do:
Administration of all Salaried Bargaining Unit (SBU) and Salaried Non-Bargaining Unit (SNBU) Leaves of Absence and Disability Benefits
Answering employee and people leader inquiries on disability and LOA
Liaising with Canada Life head office on status of claims as needed
Supporting other life and disability benefits administration tasks as assigned
Coordinate union card sign-ons and manage maternity/parental leave programs
Respond to legal requests and provide work history for terminations and pension adjustments
Administer HR programs including Records Retention, Anniversary Awards, and Recognition Luncheons
Support health care and insurance enrollments, updates, and inquiries for active and retired employees
Process Group Life and Optional Life Insurance claims and updates
Assist with pension applications, consultations, and documentation for OAC and OTP plans
Manage Ford View updates and reporting (e.g., audits, time-for-time)
Support corporate initiatives such as United Way coordination and vehicle program administration
What you will bring:
Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in HR, benefits, pensions, or claims administration
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
CEBS designation is preferred but not mandatory
Experience working in unionized environments and handling sensitive employee data
Familiarity with pension and insurance processes is an asset

The base salary for this position is between $56,000.00 - $83,900.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
