Guidewire Solution Architect
Lead high-impact architecture initiatives in the insurance domain, driving enterprise-grade Guidewire solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. This strategic hybrid role based in Markham combines integration, cloud migration (AWS), and Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) design to modernize complex systems.

Responsibilities:
• Create end-to-end architecture solutions using Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, Contact Manager).
• Design integrations between Guidewire PolicyCenter and BMS vendor systems for broker connectivity.
• Develop and document migration approaches from legacy systems to Guidewire platforms.
• Evaluate Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) features and assess fit with business needs.
• Estimate technical effort, identify risks, and define cost-benefit analysis for solution options.
• Produce architecture artifacts to support security, service, and engineering teams.
• Peer review design deliverables and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
• Support the development of business cases from a technology perspective.
• Stay current with developments in Guidewire platforms and emerging technologies.
• Lead post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and strategic objectives.
• Maintain integrity of end-to-end architecture through transition and target states.
• Balance long-term platform direction with short-term project needs.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, platform leads, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and guide solution design during feature team sprints.
• Coach and mentor junior architects and technical team members.
• Represent the solution architecture function in governance and design forums.
• Contribute to the broader architecture community to improve practices and frameworks.
• Liaise with technology partners and vendors to maintain domain expertise.
