This role supports the efficient flow, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment required for construction activities. The Materials Coordinator will collaborate with site teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and accurate delivery and allocation of construction materials.Key Functions & DutiesAssist with scheduling and tracking material deliveries to job sites, ensuring that deliveries are timely and directed to the correct locations.Assist in the completion of project mobilization and/or demobilization effort.Update and maintain daily delivery and material tracking logs for inventory control and reporting.Work with the Materials Manager to collect purchase requisitions from site staff and assist in processing purchase orders.Communicate with suppliers and sub-trades to confirm delivery timelines and resolve any logistical issues that arise.Track inventory levels and communicate low stock or replenishment needs to the Material Manager.Assist in maintaining the tool crib by organizing, issuing, and tracking small tools and equipment as needed.Support the tracking of rental equipment deliveries and returns, ensuring accuracy in records and assisting in preparing rental reports to project managers and superintendents.Coordinate alongside the Materials Manager with local rental agencies and suppliers, working in conjunction with central purchasing to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms for the project team.Support the Materials Manager in requesting and administering quotes for larger rental items/ purchases with the Project Managers and Superintendents.Assist with filing and organizing documentation such as delivery slips, rental agreements, and purchase records for the Materials Manager.QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements Post-secondary school degree or diploma in a business/ purchasing/ construction related area of study. 50VarMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in Materials Purchasing and/ or Shipping and Receiving.Health and safety certifications.Knowledge & SkillsKnowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing and international shipmentsAble to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.Computer literacyAttention to detail in all areas of work.Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skillsStrong work ethic, flexible and positive team attitudeKnowledge of Inventory control Additional InformationWhat we offer:Competitive Compensation PackageExtensive Health and Dental ProgramRRSP Program – Company MatchingEmployee Family Assistance ProgramGenerous Vacation Day ProgramProfessional DevelopmentPersonal DaysEmployee Discount ProgramFun Company EventsCommunity InitiativesHealth and Wellness ProgramRecognition ProgramsLunch and LearnsAbout us (Who is Clark Construction Management?):Clark Construction Management was established in 2017 under the leadership of Mike Clark and has continued to expand into a diverse and innovative team.
