As a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer, you will work at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and customer success. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and deliver high-impact features from concept to adoption, collaborating closely with Product and Design teams to solve complex procurement challenges. You will be deeply involved in understanding customer workflows, analyzing usage data, and making informed technical decisions that directly shape product performance and business outcomes. Beyond coding, you will mentor other engineers, set best practices, and contribute to architectural vision. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is motivated by seeing customers achieve breakthrough results with the software you create.
Accountabilities
Design, develop, and implement complex full-stack features and systems.
Lead technical initiatives from concept through deployment and adoption.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
Contribute to architectural decisions, technical standards, and best practices.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Reduce technical debt and improve system infrastructure.
Participate in planning, estimation, and sprint commitments.
Engage in on-call rotations to ensure system uptime and reliability.
10+ years developing customer-facing applications with measurable business impact.
7+ years of Ruby on Rails experience, with deep knowledge of conventions and best practices.
6+ years of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end development.
4+ years working with AWS cloud services and deployment pipelines.
Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and query optimization.
Strong understanding of architecture principles, design patterns, and testing frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus: Experience with Next.js, Redis, Sidekiq, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), observability tools (DataDog, Sentry), and startup environments.
