This Position reports to:
Hub Procurement Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Business in Canada.
Your Role: Own the Challenge ?
Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
Assures and maintains health, safety and environmental compliance for the Plant.
Maintains up to date all regulatory environmental permits and reports according to established laws, regulations, and corporate requirements.
Responsible for managing budgets for the Environmental, Health and Safety Department.
Responsible for implementing EHS programs and projects Plant wide.
Manages the Waste Treatment Plant and all related activities.
Supports and actively participate in all plant strategies and business initiatives.
Examines specifications for new machinery and equipment to determine if all safety requirements have been met.
Conducts safety trainings concerning law and regulations, use of safety equipment, devices and first aid.
Maintains liaison with outside organizations, such as fire departments, mutual aid societies, and rescue teams.

What it takes to run what runs the world
You have 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
PC knowledge.
Proficiency in: MS Office, Oracle, etc.
Knowledge of policies and practices in Environmental Health and Safety.
Experience working with managers, making presentations and reports.
You are at ease communicating in French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
