Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Prod-Tech Project Coordinator to support the execution of technology-related initiatives within our animation pipeline. This role will work closely with the Production, Pipeline, Systems, and Desktop teams to assist in coordinating projects that improve workflow, tools, and technical infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced animation environment.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
? Support Producers, production managers, and department leads in organizing technical requests and project needs.
? Assist in building and updating project schedules, task lists, and milestone timelines.
? Track and document project status, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure smooth progress.
? Help identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource gaps, and task bottlenecks.
? Support cross-departmental alignment by helping manage priorities and expectations.
? Schedule and document project meetings, including preparing agendas and tracking action items.
Communication:
? Act as a communication link between Production, Pipeline, Systems, and Desktop teams.
? Maintain clear and consistent channels of communication across all project stakeholders.
? Ensure timely updates to teams on project progress and changes.
? Help flag and escalate blockers and risks to relevant supervisors and leads.
Documentation and Reporting:
? Keep accurate project records, including status reports, meeting notes, and task trackers.
? Assist in generating weekly or bi-weekly project summaries for leadership.
? Contribute to the preparation of internal documentation and presentations for project updates.
Technology and Workflow Support:
? Work closely with the VP of Technology and Pipeline Supervisors to help coordinate tool rollouts and process updates.
? Support the implementation and testing of new tools and workflows as needed.
? Stay informed on internal tech initiatives and industry trends to help identify future opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Animation, Film Production, Computer Science, or related field.
? Minimum 1–2 years of project coordination or production experience, preferably in the animation, VFX, or gaming industry.
? Strong organizational and time-management skills.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Familiarity with animation workflows, production tools, and pipeline concepts.
? Comfortable using project management platforms such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
? Team-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
? Eagerness to grow within a creative and technical production environment.
Pay Range: CAD $ - $ per week
