Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC is in the process of changing how people think about and interact with the bank on a daily basis. The Agile Delivery Manager leverages agile and traditional project management frameworks and practices to lead the delivery of value-driving initiatives. This individual will work with business and technology stakeholders to mobilize roadmaps into execution; communicate risks, assumptions, highlight team and project impediments and champion a culture of continuous improvement within the delivery practice in a fast-paced environment. What will you do? Initiative & Roadmap Delivery Facilitate high complexity or multiple medium complexity initiatives from initiation through release, provide oversight to ensure alignment with Agile Project Management practices including, but not limited to project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning Accountable alongside the team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders’ needs and expectations Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, facilitation of team problem-solving, enabling delivery teams to develop new approaches to ongoing challenges Manage risk governance processes, operational planning, vendor management, escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary Act as the liaison between Ventures and the larger RBC Enterprise on delivery and integration as needed [Management, schedule tracking and coordination of all completion of Governance artifacts required for Architecture Governance & Public Cloud IT Risk Scorecard] Lead without authority, work in an environment of ambiguity and apply flexible/adaptable approaches to solving problems Communication and Reporting Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes, report team progress and accomplishments up and across the organization Ensures proper communication to key stakeholders, including affected lines of business, senior management, and other global technology and infrastructure partners Drive stakeholder meetings to ensure transparency and accountability across the organization & facilitate cross functional communication by documented status updates, sprint/product demos and team retrospectives continuous Improvement – Coaching Champion continuous improvement mindset and culture, seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability of results and solving productivity issues; includes defining and tracking key team performance metrics to reinforce expected behaviors (DORA metrics, Say/Do ratio, unit test coverage, etc.) Facilitate and run team retros and project retrospectives Provide proactive coaching to individuals on the business and technology teams to help mature the agile delivery practice What do you need to succeed? Must Have's: 4-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master/Delivery Manager – where agile and project management principles, practices and theory were diligently applied Minimum of 5 years of experience in working within software development and/or project management and/or business (system) analysis Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and influence others without authority Outcomes-focused mindset Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written, including presentation and facilitation skills Skillful in Project Management and team collaboration tools, JIRA, Confluence, Figma Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience Certified Advanced Scrum Master/PMP Certification or equivalent Nice-to-Have: Ability to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and well documented Agile techniques (User Stories, Burndown techniques, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous testing, etc.) What’s in it for you?
