We are looking for a Engineering Manager (or Technical Team Lead) who combines strong technical capabilities with a passion for people leadership. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & People Management Lead and mentor a team of engineers (4-6). Support team members through regular 1:1s, coaching, performance feedback, and career development. Help organize team workflows, sprint planning, task allocation, and execution tracking. Report progress, risks, and team health to senior leadership and stakeholders. Handle administrative responsibilities such as performance reviews, time-off approvals. Technical Leadership Collaborate with product managers to understand product requirements and translate them into technical tasks. Lead technical planning, solution design, and architecture discussions. Guide the team in delivering scalable, high-quality features and improvements. Ensure engineering best practices, code quality, and effective testing strategies are followed. Contribute to the codebase where appropriate—especially in areas of high complexity or architectural importance. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and other engineering teams to drive product development from ideation to production. Embrace Agile methodologies and foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong track record in backend and/or full stack development. Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, algorithms, and system design. Experience working with Java (or similar object-oriented language). Familiarity with cloud-native environments and services, preferably on AWS or Azure. Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Timescale, MongoDB, Elasticsearch). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in different time zones. Demonstrated ability or strong desire to take on team coordination and people leadership responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a technical leadership or mentoring role (formal or informal). Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized application development.
