JOB DESCRIPTION :
The role is responsible for verifying the quality of raw materials and finished products. It supports the quality team in applying established standards (SQF, GMP). The position involves training personnel, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to process/product development.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Check the quality of raw materials and finished products, identify non-conformities, complete inspection reports, authorize packaging, and communicate discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
Validate the production schedule, check the conformity of recipes, reports, weights, labels, and samples, and ensure equipment functionality with the quality assistant operator.
Maintain quality records and revise or draft procedures as needed for continuous improvement.
Receive, analyze, and document customer complaints, produce statistical reports, and coordinate corrective actions with customer service.
Update quality documentation, participate in internal and external audits, identify non-conformities, and ensure follow-up on corrective and improvement actions.
Oversee the implementation of the 6S method, establish efficient work processes, and collaborate with teams to integrate quality from the initial stages of production.
Rigorously apply occupational health and safety rules, identify risks and incidents, and follow lockout and ergonomics procedures.
Prepare and deliver training related to quality and food safety, write and adapt procedures according to changes in processes or equipment.
Master SQF requirements and ensure compliance with critical control points in the production process, while reporting any situation that could compromise food safety.
Collaborate closely with production, customer service, and other departments to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Profil
QUALIFICATIONS :
DEC or relevant training
Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance in the plastics or food industry
Excellent knowledge of GMP and SQF standards and processes
Skilled in setting up, reading, and interpreting measuring instruments
Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes
Intermediate level in MS Office Suite
Experience in total quality management, continuous improvement, and problemsolving
Fluent in English, with functional proficiency in French

WORK CONDITIONS :
Full-time, permanent position
Annual salary between $60,000 – $75,000
3 weeks of annual vacation + 2 weeks at Christmas
