You will monitor supplier performance, drive daily supplier quality issues to closure, analyze supplier issues across Silent-Aire plants, and track supplier cost of poor quality and initiation supplier chargebacks. How you will do it Work closely with the plant Quality Engineers to address supplier issues. Coordinate the isolation and containment of suspect supplied material. Manage the return materials process to suppliers. Coordinate the sorting/rework activities with the suppliers. Communicate across the North American plants to determine the top five issues and worst performing suppliers for transfer to Corporate Supplier Quality. Work with suppliers to ensure that effective root cause and preventive actions are provided for supplier issues. Review and approve supplier corrective actions. Monitor key KPIs relating to supplier issues (i.e. responsiveness, repeat issues, etc.). Develop receiving inspection strategies based on critical components defined by the DFMEA (design failure mode and effect analysis) process and past supplier performance.
