What we’re looking for:
We are looking to welcome an experienced Senior Interior Designer to help support current and upcoming projects including hotels, a museum, art center, and retail spaces. As a self-directed and collaborative member of our team, you will:
What you would do:
Serve as primary contact with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities on all assigned projects.
Organize and lead contract negotiations.
Develop schedules, budget, and forecast resources for the Interior Design team.
Perform quality control for all project presentation outputs and documentation.
Write specifications covering interior design matters, including performance of code reviews.
Conceptualize and design complex projects from pre-design through construction documents and contract administration phases
Work directly and effectively with vendors and contractors
Lead, coach, and mentor junior and intermediate interiors team members.
What we value:
Interior Design degree or diploma from an accredited program.
NCIDQ certification (or working towards it) would be considered an asset
Minimum of 10+ years of interior design experience across a broad range of project types.
Exceptional knowledge in design
Exceptional design and graphics skills.
Self-motivated; ability to manage time well and work efficiently towards deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring design team members
Working knowledge of Canadian and International Building Codes.
Proficiency with design and procurement of interior specification grade finishes, FF&E and lighting
Experience producing contract documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
Working knowledge of Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, and/or other design-related software.
Experience with wayfinding is an asset
