Role Responsibilities:
Support process development and improvement activities for additive manufacturing and post-processing of metal components.
Assist in documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical work instructions, and engineering control plans.
Analyze data from production runs and process testing, including dimensional reports (e.g., CMM), surface roughness, and inspection metrics.
Contribute to the implementation of process control methods under the AS9100 quality management system.
Assist with tooling design and model handling for process-related fixtures (SolidWorks experience is considered an asset).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on R&D and customer-driven projects involving process and material characterization.
Any other tasks assigned by the Process Engineer or Engineering Manager.
Qualification Requirements:
Pursuing a college diploma or bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Eligible for the co-op program for the duration of the contract.
Must return to school after work term.
Be able to quickly learn technical procedures, including process documentation and standard test methodologies as required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to manage documentation, task scheduling, and handle multiple concurrent projects with changing priorities.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
Comfortable working in both office and shop floor/lab environments for extended periods.
Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software is considered an asset.
Exposure to additive manufacturing, machining, or quality control processes is considered an advantage.
