What you will do: Your primary responsibility is to test the Cinema 4D viewport to ensure a consistently high-quality experience for our end users. Support the transition from to our new Redshift real-time rendering engine into the Cinema 4D viewport and potentially other Maxon products. As a QA professional, you will ultimately have the authority on whether our releases meet our customers standards and whether they are ready to ship. Work closely with your team of software developers, designers, and product managers, testing workflows, features, and fixes as they are being developed, and providing timely, actionable feedback. Participate in tooling and process improvement discussions with QA peers and leadership, to continuously improve our testing practices. Design and develop automated testing solutions to streamline manual and repetitive tests and to ensure a reduction in regressions. Document test plans, test cases, and defect reports, collaborating closely with engineering and product management teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with testing at least one 3D modelling software (e.g. Cinema 4D, Maya, Houdini), a CAD software (e.g. Vectorworks, Revit) or a game engine (e.g. Unreal or Unity). Knowledge and demonstrated experience in software testing methodologies, test planning, test case development, and test analysis and reporting. Basic understanding of 3D rendering techniques like rasterization and path tracing including their limitations and how to test the correctness of shading, lighting and performance. Working knowledge of Windows, MacOS. Understanding of agile development methodologies (scrum, et al). Fluent written and spoken English communication skills. Experience with testing automation is a plus. Programming or scripting experience is a plus.
