The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all installation, repair and upkeep operations of our company’s 24/7 operations, as well as the overall maintenance of facility and the surrounding area. Your duties will focus on managing and developing our maintenance team and ensure a state of readiness and performance of ALMAG’s equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager are detailed below, but not limited to the following:
Ensure the readiness and performance of operating equipment and services in support of ALMAG’s 24/7 operation teams
Lead and coach the maintenance team, consisting of electricians, Millwrights, and Technicians consistent with ALMAG’s values
Manage the performance of the individuals and the maintenance team as a whole
Attract, hire, and retain maintenance resources to ensure the correct balance of skills and capabilities
Planning and scheduling of complex repair plans including the balancing of workload across the maintenance team including coordination with operations and production scheduling
Monitor equipment reliability, identify trends and mitigation plans
Manage and ensure compliance with the preventative maintenance program
Ensure equipment and service compliance with relevant regulatory standards
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers including scope definition and performance
Effective communication of equipment and team performance inside and outside the maintenance team
Manage Maintenance inventory for accuracy, total value, and health
Ensures that all equipment and the facility meet HS&E standards and ensure compliance with any applicable legislation, assist with continual improvement projects
Schedule technical & personnel resources to effectively support the company’s equipment and facilities requirements.
Maintains documentation on all equipment, building infrastructure, etc., such as machine manuals, electric circuit diagrams, hydraulic-pneumatic circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, spare part lists, preventive/predictive and emergency breakdown work orders/instructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration or facility management or equivalent experience
Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) is an asset
Minimum experience of 5 years in a supervisory role
Minimum 4 years’ experience with a CMMS system
Technical Skills/Competence
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems including Hydraulics and PLC's
Effective communication and people management skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
Root Cause analysis
Detail understanding of Reliability and Maintenance Management Principles
