In this role, you will leverage your experience to lead and shape projects across various sectors, including commercial, institutional, educational and some industrial. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring a team of structural engineers, guiding them through projects, while also fostering client relationships.Primary ResponsibilitiesOversee or directly contribute to the structural design of buildings including commercial, institutional, educational, sports & recreation, healthcare, airports, transportation, and industrial.Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control programDirectly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships.Participate in the business development activities through the Metro Vancouver area. Champion a culture of client service excellence and team collaboration.Manage and mentor team of junior engineers and technologistsManage structurally design on multi disciplinary projectsManage project delivery, including project financial performance, change orders, and submissionPrepare proposalsLead design of concrete, steel, and mass timber structuresQualificationsRegistered Professional Engineer with EGBC. StructEng designation with EGBC is an asset 7+ years of directly related experience in structural engineering Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none.Strong business acumen.Strong communication skillsHigh standards of executionEntrepreneurial spiritTeam Spirit - Able to work with multi disciplinary teamsExperience with proposal and change order documentation preparationExperience leading structural design of buildings while working in multidisciplinary teamsThe expected salary for this position is from $110,000 to $130,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
