Key Responsibilities: Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of PLC-controlled systems, vision inspection equipment, barcoding systems, CNC machining centers, and electromechanical presses. Conduct root cause analysis of electrical, mechanical, and automation issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain and update PLC programs, vision system configurations, HMI interfaces, and all related documentation, including program backups and mechanical modifications. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Monitor equipment performance and quality standards; make recommendations to improve reliability and reduce operating costs. Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts; notify the Maintenance Manager of any low stock levels. Document daily work orders and activities in the Maintenance Management Software. Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to junior technicians and apprentices. Support the implementation, integration, and commissioning of new automation technologies. Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities contribute to downtime reduction and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with company safety rules and policies, as well as OHSA, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 standards. Prepare reports and logs on issues encountered and maintenance activities performed during the shift. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all applicable standard operating procedures. Assist in developing safety and operational procedures and recommend efficiency improvements in manufacturing, repair, and installation. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving technologies and compliance requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Maintenance Manager.
