Description
The Estimating Assistant organizes and coordinates the purchasing of materials for subcontractors to build on lots in various Holt developments. This position processes purchase orders, updates vendor lists, and tracks accounting issues in Builder MT. This person facilitates the relationship between Holt and the vendors with integrity, courtesy, and character.

Qualifications
Associates in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field of study, or the equivalent amount of experience
Minimum of 1 year of purchasing or logistics experience
Experience in residential construction preferred
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experience with Builder MT and Smartsheet preferred
Excellent math skills
Manage time and adhere to strict deadlines
Skills
Ability to learn new software and programs quickly
Excellent communication, both verbal and written, in the English language
Be able to effectively prioritize tasks and multi-task
Excellent attention to detail skills and ability to follow intricate, methodical steps to complete tasks
Adapt in a fast paced, ever-changing environment

Responsibilities
Coordinate paperwork for vendors
Research invoice or purchase order issues as needed, resolve payment issues
Export and approve Variance Purchase Orders (VPO’s) that have been submitted on a daily basis
Manage and coordinate the process in maintaining Builder MT accounting issues related to VPO’s
Review and correct duplicate VPO’s on a monthly basis
Track Inventory and Model Homes that need maintenance on a monthly basis
Address urgent VPO requests from Superintendents
Utilizing Bluebeam, perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, flatwork, foundation, open rail, patio extensions, and countertop per plan
Work with Purchasing Manager on deadlines, completion of tasks and workload
Ensure adherence to department policies, procedures, and audit requirements
Work Environment
Regularly uses a computer with repeated movements to enter data, differentiate between colors, shades, and brightness, and read from a screen for extended periods of time
