As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a wide variety of delicious baked goods, ensuring high-quality products, and contributing to our customers' satisfaction.Prepare and bake a diverse range of products including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goodsFollow and standardize recipes to maintain consistency in product qualityManage daily production schedules and inventory of baked goodsEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsCollaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean work environmentCreate new and innovative recipes to expand our product offeringsMonitor and maintain the quality of ingredients and finished productsOperate and maintain baking equipment and toolsAssist in training and mentoring junior bakersParticipate in customer service activities as neededQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Baker or in a similar roleFood Handler certificate (required)Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and industry trendsProven ability to produce high-quality baked goods consistentlyRed Seal Certification specializing in BakingStrong attention to detail and excellent time management skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent teamwork and communication skillsCustomer-focused mindset with a friendly and professional demeanorProficiency in using various baking equipment and toolsPhysical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as neededCreative problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing prioritiesBasic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipesHigh school diploma or equivalentAdditional InformationSodexo is committed to Employment Equity and Diversity.
