Job DescriptionYour internship at Canam
Your mandate will be to assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with the management and supervision of a structural steel erection project. You will be based on a construction site and working mainly on the Opal Ridge shared housing project, situated in Dartmouth close to Penhorn Lake on Opalridge Dr. (new street). This building will be a 6-story senior care facility.Your tasks will include : Participate in orientation and safety training before mobilizationComply with all site safety procedures and PPE requirementsSubmit accurate biweekly timesheets and daily site reportsCoordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and suppliersUse software tools to track deliveries, verify documents, and manage drawing updatesLearn and reference Canam systems (Hambro, CorRise, LBSSW)Support documentation, progress tracking, and technical learningHelp onboard new team members when neededThat said, it's your team that will give you the most satisfaction, because at Canam, we are a strong bond of growth and possibilities!
