What You Will Do The RCM will champion resident satisfaction and lead quality improvement initiatives. Support nursing staff in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans. Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of nursing staff. Oversee scheduling and ensure smooth operations in the absence of department heads. Resolve care-related issues with residents, families, and advocates. Foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to resident care. The RCM will act as a clinical role model and mentor to nursing staff. Deliver ongoing education and development for care teams. Utilize MDS and Care Management systems effectively. Ensure site-wide oversight in the absence of senior management. Promote a culture of ethics, dignity, trust, and respect for all. What You Bring Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long-term care. Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current unrestricted license (or eligible for BCCNM registration). Skilled in managing unionized teams and navigating complex care environments. Strong background in quality improvement, risk management, and person-centered care. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with BC health legislation, standards, and care regulations.
