Reporting to the Manager, Technology, ERP, the Development Lead, ERP, is
responsible for managing the design, build and deployment of custom code within
the SAP environment to enable vital reports, integrations, data conversions,
improvements and forms. This role involves working with a Systems Integration
consultant partner to manage a team of developers and run project timelines to
ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects.

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental
rules and procedures
- Coordinate and lead a team of SAP developers including Teck employees,
contractors, and vendor consultants or implementation partners
- Supervise the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP projects, ensuring
they are completed on time and within budget
- Provide technical mentorship and expertise in SAP development, including
customizations, improvements, and integrations
- Work closely with business partners to understand requirements and translate
them into technical solutions
- Support the quality and performance of SAP solutions through thorough testing
and code reviews
- Handle and resolve incidents related to SAP applications, ensuring minimal
disruption to business operations
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive development
strategy that aligns with the SAP ERP project
- Develop and handle the budget for development, ensuring efficient solutions
without compromising quality or performance
- Partner with the Transformation Management Office to align infrastructure
initiatives with overall transformation goals and timelines
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technology,
business and project teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of
the ERP system
- Work optimally with multi-functional (owner and systems integrator) teams and
partners to cultivate a collaborative, cooperative and inclusive environment
- Clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and
non-technical partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related
field
- Minimum 10 years of dynamic experience with previous experience leading
technical teams
- Experience with SAP S4/HANA, proficiency in ABAP programming, Fiori/UI5, and
other relevant SAP technologies strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively work on cross owner-systems integration teams
- Proficiency in running complex projects, including timeline, resource, and
budget management
- Experience coordinating with infrastructure, testing, deployment and data
migration/cutover teams
- Capable of developing long-term development strategies that align with
enterprise-wide transformation goals
- Skilled in working with cross-functional teams and encouraging a
collaborative environment to achieve project goals
- Adept at identifying potential issues and developing proactive solutions to
mitigate risks
- Flexible and able to adjust strategies and plans in response to evolving
project needs and challenges
- Results-driven and focused on achieving project goals, delivering value to
the organization
- Detail-oriented to the intricacies of technical implementation to ensure
high-quality outcomes

$130,000 - $160,000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s
relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
