Schedule: Rotating day/night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and extra coverage as needed. Start Dates: Immediate openings and future starts available. Note: This position requires the successful candidate to reside in the North Battleford area or willingness to relocate upon hire and hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license with driver’s abstract. Reporting to the Shift Engineer, the Plant Operator is expected to have comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols, plant equipment, and plant operations in all areas. Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with, and commitment to Strathcona's Health, Safety, Environment and Regulatory (HSER) policies, as well as TSASK and OH&S standards. Troubleshoot plant issues and recommend operational improvements. Prioritize safety, environmental compliance, and production efficiency. Review, revise and write Operations Procedures. Report deficiencies, maintain accurate logbooks and support MOC and work orders processes. Notify leader of emergency/upset situations impacting the facility. Lead or support during emergencies, maintenance, and ERP drills. Participate in safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture. Qualifications: Minimum Third-Class Power Engineering (TSASK) Certification. Progress toward a Second-Class is considered an asset. 5+ years of related industry experience in Oil and Gas (SAGD or CSS). Hands-on with Once Through Steam Generator’s (OTSGs), water/oil treating, and de-oiling processes. Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. Proactive, analytical, and confident in problem-solving and decision-making. Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs. WHY STRATHCONA?
