& Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated,
forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Project Manager for our Milling
division based in Cambridge, ON.
P&H MILLING
P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources
wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce
quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat
flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes
and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour
for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea
fractions.
From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge,
Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group
supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean,
the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be
responsible in managing various aspects of operational and capital projects,
ensuring they are completed on time, within the approved budget, and align with
organization’s goals and strategies. Specific responsibilities may include
planning, organizing, and directing projects, managing resources, and
collaborating with teams and stakeholders.
DAY TO DAY
- Initiates and facilitates project planning process, ensuring that project
scope, key functional requirements, goals and objectives are clearly outlined
and defined.
- Creates strong foundation for project implementation and execution by
developing detailed project plans that outlines tasks, resources,
allocated/approved budgets, timelines/schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with the project team/s and provide direction.
- Lead team meetings effectively with focus on promoting collaborations,
resolving and addressing issues and conflicts, and utilization of collective
team efforts.
- Identify potential risks, analyze all possible impacts, and develop
mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the project schedule,
expectations, and budget.
- Oversee resources and budgets by tracking spendings and adjust as necessary
as long as backed up with justification and reviewed/approved by the Company.
- Maintains effective communication with stakeholders by providing timely
updates and progress reports, documented project outcomes/results, responding
to inquiries, and utilize the feedback to meet the requirements.
- Work with project owner and subject matter experts in developing and
implementing quality control process to ensure that deliverables meet the
expectations and satisfy overall project requirements.
- Other related duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, or a
related field; PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects—ideally in a
manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, business analysis, and
functional requirements gathering.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the
ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of change management principles and practices.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking
abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
