Business Development Manager

What is in it for you:
• Annual salary range: $65.000–$75.000, based on experience.
• Contract through March 2026, with the possibility of extension.
• Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
• Hybrid, 1 day per week in the office at Place Ville Marie.
• Travel required within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities:
• Design and execute a regional business development strategy aligned with national goals.
• Promote enrollment in the CGLCC’s LGBTQ Supplier Diversity and Rainbow Registered programs.
• Represent the organization at events, conferences, and presentations across the assigned region.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support sales, onboarding, and fulfillment processes.
• Build strong working relationships with 2SLGBTQI+ businesses and local ecosystem partners.
• Maintain accurate tracking of outreach and engagement through CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
• Support corporate members with ongoing engagement and account maintenance.
• Analyze and improve business development processes for greater effectiveness and efficiency.
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-aligned team environment.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in sales or business development with a proven track record.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic plans, assess market opportunities, and drive program enrollment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident in public speaking to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and HubSpot.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
• Highly self-directed and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, regional role.
• Bilingual in English and French to communicate effectively with 2SLGBTQI+ businesses, partners, and corporate members throughout Quebec.
• Previous experience working in a not-for-profit environment is preferred.
• Experience engaging with the 2SLGBTQI+ community is considered a strong asset.
• Deep alignment with the mission of equity, inclusion, and economic empowerment.
