Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

Experience
Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset
Education
Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational degree program recognized by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC)
Holds one of the following certifications: Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC or the Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification requirements).
Licenses
Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant
(Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) for applicants outside of Saskatchewan)
Membership with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants

Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
May provide services to acute and long term care sites as required
