The UC is responsible for technical and administrative tasks associated with all services (power, gas, telecoms and water) for each construction project from pre-construction through project completion. The role will collaborate with civil team, communicating and resolving conflicts while assisting the GM operations and Construction Managers in ensuring project site is set up with no delays to the project.
Your contributions to the team:
Timely application of services (temporary & permanent) with relevant utility providers in each province
Coordinate utility permits and approvals with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide design support to utility providers where necessary
Read and interpret site utility plans
Coordinate utility conflict resolutions
Communicate utility timelines with service providers and project team
Assist in organizing utility coordination meetings
Communicate relevant project information to internal and external stakeholders.
What you need to be successful:
Post-secondary education in engineering, construction/ project management
Working experience with construction management software
Strong problem solving and customer service skills
Ability to work in a changing environment
Attention to detail and multitasking skills
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret drawings, specifically electrical & mechanical drawings
Experience within the utility industry is an added advantage
MS Office Suite
Bluebeam or alternate pdf editor
Knowledge of MS Project is an added advantage
