Are YOU our next Medical Laboratory Technologist?
We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Core Lab team in
Brampton, Ontario. You will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the
highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a
variety of testing using the latest technology. Your contributions will make a
difference – the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians
and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving
someone’s life.
Status: Contract Full Time - 6 months
Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Saturday, 6:00 p.m. to 2:00
a.m., Sundays and Holidays as required
Discipline: Hematology
Work Style: Onsite
Location: 115 Midair Court, Brampton, ON

How YOU will make a difference:
- Ensuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met
according to established procedures.
- Performing routine testing duties within Hematology which includes but not
limited to analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.
- Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing
samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results.
- Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities
What YOU bring to the role:
- You thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and
ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment
- You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit
within a collaborative working environment
- Carry a CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in
good standing
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
- Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations
for resolution
- Nice to have: working experience in the Hematology field, knowledge and
understanding of CQI, knowledge of IQMH/Accreditation Canada

- Repetitive fine motor movements of hands
- Perform duties in stationary standing/sitting positions
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, solvents and bio-hazardous and radioactive
materials
