Le directeur principal travaillera sur des mandats d’analyse et de contestation des vérifications fiscales pour les clients. Tâches et responsabilités, en rapport avec les résultats clés de Ryan Analyser les procédures et les paiements de taxes indirectes des clients, les montants de crédits et remboursements de taxe sur les intrants et les différentes entrées comptables aux comptes de taxes des clients afin d’identifier les opportunités de récupération et les risques fiscaux; Réviser les livres comptables des clients afin d’identifier les opportunités de récupération de taxes sur les carburants fédérale et provinciales; Rédiger les demandes de remboursements, incluant la préparation des annexes de support afin de documenter tous les aspects des remboursements identifiés; Préparer pour chaque client un rapport complet résumant les résultats du mandat incluant la préparation de recommandations visant à améliorer les processus du client; Assister les clients en regard des problématiques associées aux taxes indirectes; Identifier et aviser les clients des risques fiscaux découverts pendant le mandat; Participer à des sessions de formation technique et continue afin de maintenir à jour et approfondir ses connaissances en matière de TPS/TVH/TVQ et des autres taxes de vente provinciales. Education et expérience : Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou en finances Être titulaire d’un titre comptable reconnu (CPA) est un avantage avec entre 4 et 8 ans d’expérience en comptabilité ou dans le domaine de la fiscalité des entreprises, soit en industrie ou en cabinet. Un minimum de deux à quatre ans d’expérience en matière d’audit ou de fiscalité. Compétences clés : Connaissance intermédiaire de Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, ainsi que de la navigation et de la recherche sur Internet Exige des responsabilités limitées en matière de supervision, y compris la formation des employés, la répartition des tâches et la vérification de l’exactitude et de l’exhaustivité du travail Bonne connaissance en TPS/TVH/TVQ ainsi que des autres taxes de ventes provinciales Expertise en comptabilité et finance opérationnel et bonne connaissances des différents logiciels comptable. As required, the Manager will either perform or assign the different task to the Team and will coach other members of the Sales Tax Advisory Team in the performance of consulting, advisory and training engagements, both in conjunction with, and independently from, the Director, Sales Tax. Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results People: Assigns and directs advisory staff in the performance of engagements, including scheduling, managing the progress and completion of engagements, ensuring the production of reports, reviewing such reports for completeness and accuracy, ensuring the delivery or electronic communication of such reports to clients, and managing all interaction with clients by consulting staff. Client: Performs engagements for clients as assigned, either alone or with assistance of Team members or either Ryan employees, including all such types of engagements that might be assigned to the Sales Tax Advisory Team. Prepares and submits engagement proposals to clients, under supervision of the Director, Sales Tax. Prepares and presents tax seminars and workshops for clients. Value: Attends and participates in Ryan in-house training on Sales Tax matters. Assists in the development of additional service lines for offering to clients. Supports personal development of employees that report directly to the incumbent. Prepare and complete Exception reports to be issued to clients in French. For a transition period, participate with the rest of the Montreal based Advisory Team in answering Client Support Services questions submitted in French by clients and assist with the technical aspect of the Quality & Assurance process review for sales tax review files submitted by Sales Tax Recovery Managers in French. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Master's in Taxation optional and seven or more years accounting or tax-related experience in consulting services, industry and/or public accounting environment. Candidate must possess a strong knowledge of Goods and Services Tax, Quebec Sales Tax and Provincial Retail Sales Tax legislation and policies, ideally working as a professional in the commodity tax field. Candidates should also possess a strong command of both written and verbal French and English. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook and Internet navigation and research. Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license required and Canadian passport required. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position may require supervisory responsibilities for employees in the Sales Tax Advisory Group. Work Environment: Standard indoor working environment.
