We are looking for a smart, driven, versatile Marketing Consultant to accelerate our growth and help our tools reach more jobseekers.
The Marketing Consultant will spearhead our paid acquisition strategy, focusing on optimizing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) spend, with a primary focus on UGC-driven paid ads. Additionally, the consultant will leverage content marketing and SEO to enhance organic reach and brand visibility. This fractional role will collaborate with the CEO and finance team to align marketing strategies with financial goals, ensuring scalable, profitable growth while mentoring our in-house marketing team.

What you'll help us with:
Paid Ad Strategy: Design and execute a high-impact paid acquisition strategy across platforms like Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, prioritizing UGC ads to drive engagement and conversions.
UGC Ad Expertise: Develop and optimize UGC ad campaigns, sourcing authentic content from creators to reduce CAC and boost click-through rates.
Content Marketing: Create and manage a content marketing strategy, including blog posts, videos, and social media content, to drive brand awareness, user retention, and organic traffic. Align content with app features and user pain points.
SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve organic discoverability, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link-building strategies to rank for relevant terms in the consumer app space.
Unit Economics Optimization: Analyze customer cohorts to maintain an high efficiency, refining paid and organic strategies to maximize ROI and user profitability.
SEM Budget Management: Oversee SEM budgets, ensuring efficient spend allocation. Deliver weekly reports with key metrics for CEO and finance team review.
Analytics & Reporting: Use tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Appsflyer to track paid and organic performance, identifying high-value segments and reducing churn through data-driven insights.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior marketing team members and collaborate with product and finance teams to align campaigns with retention and monetization goals.
Experimentation: Test innovative ad formats, content types (e.g., case studies, tutorials), and SEO tactics to stay ahead of industry trends.
Investor Support: Assist the CEO in preparing marketing performance reports for investors, highlighting ROI metrics, organic growth, and strategic initiatives.
What will help you be successful:
Experience: 5+ years in performance marketing, with at least 3 years focused on paid ads for consumer apps or D2C brands. Proven success in UGC ad campaigns (e.g., TikTok, Instagram) with measurable CAC reduction and conversion growth.
Content Marketing Skills: 2+ years of experience developing content strategies (e.g., blogs, videos, social posts) that drive engagement and align with brand goals.
SEO Expertise: 2+ years of SEO experience, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link-building, with a track record of improving organic rankings for consumer apps or similar industries.
Track Record: Success managing SEM budgets north of $2m a year and achieving high efficiency. Experience scaling organic traffic through content and SEO is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs to track paid and organic performance.
Leadership: Experience leading marketing teams or consulting for startups, with strong communication skills to align with CEO and finance stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with consumer app metrics (e.g., 60-75% churn rates, $4-$160 cost per install) and best practices for mobile app marketing.
What would make you stand out:
Experience with no-code platforms, A/B testing tools, or integrations like Supabase or Firebase for campaign tracking.
