We are currently seeking a Part-Time, Casual AV Installer based in Edmonton, Alberta, to support the Roger's Place (Oiler's) Arena IPTV refresh project expected to run for up to 3 months. This opportunity is ideal for someone with mid-level installation experience looking for flexible, project-based work. You’ll be completing installation tasks such as replacing existing IPTV monitors and players located throughout the facility with updated and refreshed equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review Bill of Materials, Drawings, Project Scope and prepare for site activities
Work with project lead on installation and replacement of existing IPTV equipment
Removing existing IPTV equipment including monitors & players and replace with new equipment
Possibly repair low voltage cable terminations and installation of new monitor mounting brackets
Routing and cleanup of low voltage, network, control cables (wire management)
Maintain daily communication with Scheduler, Project Lead and Account Managers on status of project and task lists
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines
Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
Ability to operate a cordless drill and basic hand tools
Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and control
Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities
Must be organized and detail oriented
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of audiovisual experience
Post-secondary education in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a relevant field is preferred
Any industry recognized training is preferred
Safety:
Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and lifts
Trade certifications: WHMIS (will train)
Other certifications considered an asset: fall arrest, scissor lift

4% vacation pay will be added at each pay
This special project will have varying hours (non-guaranteed) and may be completed at anytime prior to the projected end date
