In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting electrical systems and infrastructure for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage, as well as e-mobility projects, including battery electric bus, EV charging etc. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the clean energy sector, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.Key Responsibilities:Develop electrical designs, specifications, and schematics for renewable energy and e-mobility systems such as photovoltaic (PV) solar, EV charging, battery storage systems, and grid integration.Perform electrical system analysis, load flow studies, fault analysis, and reliability assessments to ensure system stability and efficiency.Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and proposals for renewable energy projects. Provide support during all project phases, from feasibility studies to commissioning and operational handover.Ensure that designs adhere to industry standards, local codes, and regulations. Support the preparation of regulatory submissions and assist with compliance audits.Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with renewable energy projects.Identify and resolve electrical engineering challenges that may arise during project execution or in existing systems.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve renewable energy designs and operational efficiency.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).Minimum of 8-10 years’ professional experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy or power systems.Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) from Professional Engineers Ontario or eligible for a license. Strong understanding of electrical power systems, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies.Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst, or similar tools.Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code and relevant renewable energy standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC).Knowledge of SCADA systems, control systems, and energy storage technologies.Proficiency in performing load flow analysis, fault analysis, and other electrical system studies.Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and resolve technical issues.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.At CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
