In this role, you will:
Deliver structured programs for children and youth, with the ability to modify programs to meet the age-appropriate and developmental needs of all participants
Coach and appropriately supervise children during scheduled programs
Communicate with all participants and their caregivers, members, staff and volunteers
Maintain records as needed, including attendance sheets, program area maintenance items and daily checklists
Work as part of a team to ensure a clean and well maintained facility at all times
You bring:
A positive enthusiastic attitude
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
Standard First Aid/CPR Certification ‘C’
Healthy Child Development training or experience working with children in a recreational setting is an asset
Clear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
Must be able to work flexible hours based program needs
Willingness to participate in mandated training to be completed before or shortly after commencement of work including:
AODA Training
Health & Safety Awareness Training
Bill 168 (Violence & Harassment in the Workplace) Training
PCI Compliance
WHMIS
Child Protection Training
