Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Strong computer skills are required with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Knowledge of Microsoft Project
Ability to plan and manage project schedules, meetings, contractors, and sub-contractors
Accurately prepare reports, track materials, labour, and equipment, and cross-reference with contract documents, budgets, and identify any defects, deviations, non-compliance, and create as-built notes/drawings
Field experience working around heavy equipment and demonstrates understanding of contract drawings and basic equipment such as a laser level and grade rod
Effectively motivating people and maintaining effective relationships with clients, owners, consultants, and engineers
Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs, investigate the underlying causes, and identify short and long-term solutions
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
Effective and proven organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure and demanding work environment, including working with other department heads to ensure project demands and deadlines are met
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrate ability to perform maturely and professionally, ensuring complete confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information
Demonstrate the ability to think critically, act logically to evaluate situations, solve problems, and make decisions
Ability to adapt to changing culture/environments
Hands-on construction experience with the ability to operate light machinery is an asset.
Ensure health and safety procedures and policies are followed in accordance with OHSA
Skills Required
Degree and/or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator/Manager.
Courses in Project Management are considered an asset.
Working towards a Project Management Certification and/or a Professional Designation.
May need to work weekends and weeknights, depending on project.
Full G license and transportation required.
