We are seeking a Sales Merchandiser in Victoria to join our BC Retail Sales Team. This role is servicing Vancouver Island accounts.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Merchandiser will provide brand support and awareness through merchandising and strong sell-through of APL wines, while maintaining and building relationships with clients and retail customers. This person will work closely with our Territory Sales Managers and Sales Reps.
We are looking for a teammate with:
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
Experience in the retail or Hospitality industry an asset
Knowledge of merchandising, display builds and retail customer traffic an asset
Strong communicator who is reliable and driven to exceed sales targets.
This teammate will be accountable for:
Building brand awareness and ensuring strong sell-through of APL wines through various promotional programs on site.
Building displays, placing products on shelves or in displays for maximum exposure and ensuring product rotates on regular basis
Delivery of wine as scheduled, resolving any discrepancies
Assisting the Territory Managers in communicating all relevant business opportunities and competitive information on a regular and timely basis
Communicating with the Territory Managers regarding specific ordering or shipping needs indicated by clients within their territory
Opportunity to operate a territory within approved expense budget
Meeting agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner
Arriving at work, appointments, meetings, and all work-related functions on time and as scheduled
Promoting a health & safety culture by ensuring a safe and healthy work environment through effective operation of the Health and Safety program and compliance with EH&S regulations.
This is a full time salaried position that will require the teammate to drive to many locations in the Vancouver Island area. This is not an office-based job or a work from home environment. Millage is reimbursed however there is no company car.
You do not have to have any prior wine education or knowledge however its an asset for the position.
