We are currently seeking Vintage Cellar Hands to help us through the exciting and fast-paced 2025 harvest season. As part of our 2025 harvest team, you'll have the opportunity to work across our two production facilities, processing approximately 2500 tonnes of grapes. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team for an exciting and hands-on experience in premium wine production.
We are interviewing and making offers now for a Harvest that will start late summer or early Fall.
These roles are based out of Trius Estate Winery and Thirty Bench Winemakers, located in Niagara, Ontario.
Position Overview:
As a Vintage Cellar Hand, you will be part of our dynamic harvest team at Trius Winery. This is a seasonal role that requires full availability for up to 6 days a week, working up to 12 hours per day (Day or Night shift). The harvest season runs from late August to mid-November, with actual dates to be confirmed. The role requires availability for a Day or Night shift rotation for the duration of the harvest.
During this time, you will assist in various tasks across the Crush Pad, Cellars, and Barrel Cellar.
The Role:
Operate equipment on the Crush Pad and in the Cellars to receive, sort, and press grapes.
Make material additions to juice/wine blends.
Floatation, racking, inoculations, transferring, and blending wine/juice.
Perform Punch Downs, Pump Overs, Barrel Work, Fermentation Monitoring and dig outs.
Assist in Barrel work such as filling, fermenting, racking, sampling, and topping.
Clean and sanitize process equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Consistently following standard operating procedures to ensure wine quality.
The Opportunity:
$18.30-$22.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Requirements:
Previous Vineyard or harvest experience is considered an asset. We welcome enthusiastic candidates looking to experience their first harvest!
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently.
Strong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain an organized workplace.
Good problem-solving abilities, dependable, and hands-on.
Strong communication skills and ability to work safely with co-workers.
Ability to lift in excess of 22 kg (48lbs) regularly.
Attention to detail is critical.
Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts for the duration of harvest.
Staff housing and transportation are available and offered as a taxable benefit for international/out of town employees.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. International applicants should look into the requirements for working in Canada and begin the Visa application process on their own accord, as soon as possible.
