We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager responsible for planning, executing, and delivering EPCs and energy retrofit projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and master contract agreement. This role involves strategic planning, team coordination and management, client management, and technical and managerial oversight of all aspects of the project.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-profile and high-impact Energy Performance Contracts with national clients, delivering guarantee energy and GHG reduction targets while renewing building infrastructure using innovative cutting-edge low energy and low carbon technologies.

Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and manage the implementation of Energy Performance Contracts and/or energy retrofit projects focused on energy reduction, GHG reduction and building renewal work. This work will involve upgrades to mechanical and electrical building systems related to lighting, HVAC, control, domestic water and renewable energy systems.
Team Management:
Lead, coordinate and motivate multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives on time and within scope.
Client Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for our clients, providing service excellence by maintaining clear communication, managing expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget Control:
Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, track expenditures, forecasting, and ensuring profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Scheduling Management:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying potential delays or risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
Strategic Thinking:
Analyze complex information and exercise sound judgment, considering the situation, the issues, the key players and levels of authority involved.
Foresee and consider longer-term implications of proposed positions, options and approaches that are not readily apparent.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and work with project team to develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on schedule, cost, and quality.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare regular project progress reports, project milestone and financial updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications, Experience and Education
This position will be suited for an individual with:
Building Science experience with preference to those candidates with a Degree in Engineering or a Degree in Architecture
Ideally 5+ years of relevant industry experience
A strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMP certification or equivalent is an asset)
An understanding of and experience with construction practices related to building systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
Experience fulfilling role as primary point of contact for the Client
Experience leading and directing multidisciplinary technical project teams
