About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team on upcoming civil earthworks projects in Northeastern BC. The ideal candidate has a solid background operating skid steers in rugged, off-road construction environments and takes pride in working safely, efficiently, and collaboratively.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating skid steer equipment to support earthmoving, material handling, and site preparation activities, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Duties/Responsibilities
Operate skid steer safely and efficiently on heavy civil construction projects
Perform material loading, grading, trench backfilling, and general site cleanup
Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
Follow site traffic plans, signals, and radio communication protocols
Work closely with ground crews, equipment operators, and site supervisors
Assist with other labour or equipment tasks as required
Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices
Education/Skills/Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating skid steers in a construction environment
Understanding of safe operating techniques and equipment limitations
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain
Safety certifications such as CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, and Ground Disturbance 201 (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and ability to pass pre-employment requirements
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
