The Sales & Production Planning Supervisor’s key initiative is to manage the auto supply for Honda and Acura to provide the ideal vehicle mix for our Dealer network by supporting the production, allocation and sales plan for both Brands. The incumbent is responsible for supervising, co-coordinating, assigning and reviewing of work, leading and coaching of the Auto Sales & Production Planning team to meet department key initiatives. This role also includes providing project leadership in support of department business plans. The incumbent must be capable of resolving unique situations, maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment in adherence to Honda guidelines and policies. RESPONSIBILITIES Support Seihan Planners, maintain efficient and accurate long and short term business plans, analyze sales, inventory, market trends, and demand to provide strategic recommendations to Management, aimed at optimizing production and maintaining target inventory levels; Manage Seihan (manufacturing and sales) & ordering cycles (N-3/N-1) throughout the month by ensuring supply requests, trim, battery and order adjustments are submitted to North American Production Control/factories and publish dates are met; Lead the correlation and preparation of monthly Niguri (long and short term business plan) and Seihan (manufacturing and sales) presentations; Manage Auto Planners in maintaining a balanced product mix by forecasting and fulfilling orders. Oversee the monthly DRiVE allocation process to ensure accuracy, fairness and deadlines are met; Represent S&PP in Product Planning SP Flows, Zone communication meetings, field staff meetings, S&E factory negotiations, core group and other meetings; Prepare quarterly budget targets for wholesale mix and premium colours. Monitor to ensure objectives and profit targets are met. Support ad hoc Finance requests; Manage model maintenance process to ensure accuracy and timelines are met; Ensure monthly CAP-DO and quarterly CAPDO for department objectives are completed and presented to Management. Ensure all S&PP reporting distributed is accurate and timely; Assist Manager in developing long term departmental strategic plans and support the goals and objectives set out in current Ki (Financial year). Develop, mentor and provide career coaching for S&PP associates. Conduct associate performance evaluations, hire, orient and ensure proper training for new associates; All other duties as assigned by manager. QUALIFICATIONS University degree or College Diploma in Business or an Automotive related discipline; Minimum 5 years experience in the automotive field, or equivalent experience; Proficient in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Teams; strong skills related to Excel; Leadership, critical thinking, time and priority management skills; Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution; Analytical and problem solving; Ability to set daily goals and objectives, track results and react. Develops and maintains good working relationships and all members of the team; Develops and maintains good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders; Develop, establish and maintain good working relationship with Honda North America suppliers, partners, consultants, stakeholders and other network contacts; Enjoys team building approach of management and department - shares results.
