Consultant (part-time).
About the team:
The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation
across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is
researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning
to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique
opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills.
About the job:

Gain insights and identify cooperation opportunities within key academic
organizations in major ICT research fields, such as AI, software, computing,
and semiconductors. Develop cooperation plans to address global industrial
challenges, leveraging competitions, funds, academic journals, conferences,
and seminars/workshops.

Identify valuable academic resources related to Huawei's business and carry
out cooperation in the academic field, particularly in the areas of
competitions, funds, academic journals, and seminars/workshops.

Integrate internal and external resources to ensure successful project
implementation and achievement of cooperation objectives.

Manage connections with high-end academic experts both within and outside the
company.

Gain insight into the internal dynamics of academic organizations and
technology development trends through participation in academic conferences
or analysis of journal papers. Foster an open atmosphere for innovation and
academic exchanges, and expand cooperation resources.
About the ideal candidate:

Possess a broad vision of cutting-edge science and technologies in ICT field,
particularly in AI, software, computing, and semiconductors.

Capable of understanding trends in academic research and collaborating with
academic organizations, along with a strong capability of generating reports.

Have more than five years of experience in ecosystem and industry development
or technical research management in the ICT field, with a significant
academic influence.

Understand the operations of academic organizations and possess a working
background in relevant academic or multilateral organizations. A position
within an academic organization is an asset.
