Join us and make every day an unforgettable adventure!Job DescriptionAs an Electrician at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently. Rate of Pay: $38.93 per hour What you will be doing: Reporting to the Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Responsible for all electrical related trade work at the Fairmont Jasper Park LodgeResponsible for all high & low voltage distribution and equipmentResponsible for testing and maintaining the fire alarm systemMaintain & repair all automatic control systemsResponsible for street lighting and bulb changing of street lightsEnsure all power tools are in good and safe working conditionsWill have to do installation of new systems as and when requiredResponsible for the repair and maintenance of all electrical appliances at the LodgeResponsible for the preventive maintenance of equipment pertaining to electrical tradeWill provide “as built” drawings of the electrical systems and update these drawings as changes occurWill make certain that all work done in the department is in compliance with federal and provincial codes and regulationsEnsure all work orders assigned will be done with the least possible delay, especially where guest comfort is concernedResponsible to train and assist the shift maintenance persons to carry out their duties in a safe and efficient mannerOther duties as assignedQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Provincial Journeyperson’s certificate for Province of Alberta required or third of fourth year in the Apprentice program requiredBackground electrical experience or general knowledge of the trade requiredExperience in the service industry in electrical maintenanceHigh voltage distribution experience an assetKnowledge of automatic controls requiredProficient in Microsoft Windows applications required ( Word, Excel & Power Point )Valid Alberta driver’s license required Excellent communication and organizational skillsAdditional InformationVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
