Scope of Position: Deliver a reliable and consistent flow of quality painted parts through the control of a stable e-coat process and the operation and maintenance of its ancillary equipment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare the start-up and monitor and shutdown the e-coat wastewater and conveyor systems. Conduct analytical and instrumental analyses (gravimetric and volumetric) on all process tanks, interpret the results and make the required paint and chemical additions and/or adjustments to equipment to maintain a stable process. Conduct all process tests and performance tests on finished parts as scheduled and to required specification. Monitor the functioning of all process equipment and perform the necessary tasks to ensure an efficient operation and an uninterrupted production flow. Monitor and maintain records of process equipment performance parameters (i.e., ultra-filtration system, paint chillier, R.O water generating plant, chemical metering pumps anolyte system, hot water generating unit, coalescing filters, and filter presses). Perform routine maintenance on the above equipment (i.e., changing and purging filter systems, removal of waste sludge, etc). Monitor inventory levels of chemicals and consumables. Conduct routine week-end process tanks cleaning as scheduled. Maintain housekeeping standards as established. Perform wastewater treatment analyses and e-coat performance tests. Collect film-thickness data and assist in the preparation of process capability reports.
