The Role Position: Applications Analyst (ServiceNow) Bi-Weekly Salary: $2,737.95 - $3,589.24 Division: Application & Consulting Services Manager: Travis Juffinger Location: Regina, SK The Applications Analyst (ServiceNow) creates design specifications and computer applications from provided specifications, and is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of specific project products or services. The position may have responsibility for coaching other staff or for team leadership. Once the specifications are determined, this level undertakes some or all aspects of more complex projects and applications and produces high quality programs without direct assistance or supervision. The position is often called upon to finalize plans and schedules for all sizes of systems implementation projects. Recommendations of action on problem areas of substantial importance are referred to the supervisor; however, normally, assigned projects are reviewed on completion. The position participates in business analysis sessions with customers. The position understands customer requirements, executes programs to meet specifications and assumes ownership of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Developing with and customizing application platforms such as ServiceNow. Implement new forms, workflows and processes within platforms such as ServiceNow. Integrating application platforms with other enterprise systems. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related with applications, interfaces and data. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Maintaining technical and user documentation. Ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of applications. providing monitoring, improving existing systems and developing new systems. Developing/costing computing technology solutions for moderately complex client/business needs such as hardware/software, personnel, communications and facilities. Estimating programming costs and delivery costs. Assisting in the training of customers or ISM staff on the use of computer systems or related topics. Assisting in major areas of proposal preparation including hardware and software options and strategies, capacity planning, methodology and application schedules and costs. Developing systems design, directing systems implementation and developing methods and procedures. Analyzing requirements, designing, coding, testing and implementing programs from specifications. Who You Are Qualifications University Degree, or diploma from a two year program in Computer Science/Data processing, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training, plus 5-7 years knowledge of systems concepts. Good knowledge of computer fundamentals including computer environments and operating systems; compile and execution functions; data structures, formats and storage media; and program languages. Demonstrated knowledge of applications software engineering methodology. Good knowledge of structured analysis, design and programming techniques and demonstrated ability to follow structured design and analyst disciplines. Good organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to set and achieve more than one concurrent objective reliably. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability and initiative to learn and use new techniques, products and systems. Ability to work productively and demonstrate leadership in a team environment. Good interpersonal skills including a mature and professional attitude demonstrated to clients and employees. Skills and abilities acceptable to the client. Key Skills & Abilities The following skills and abilities are considered an asset for this position: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer. Certified ServiceNow Associate System administrator with experience in form configuration, workflow administration, and reporting Experience with ITIL processes and frameworks. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. Investigative, curious, and creative Ability to present technical material to varied audiences Excited to learn new material and tackle new problems Solid customer relationship management and interpersonal skills Self-driven and team oriented Experience providing regular maintenance, updates, enhancements, and defect remediation to the ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM platforms Proficiency in JavaScript/AJAX and SQL Hands-on experience developing REST server APIs Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Angular Experience with databases, data analysis ITIL foundation certified *Note: This role may involve working with technology that is covered by US and/or Canadian Embargo Export Regulations; therefore all applicants will be subject to additional security screening requirements.
